Project Objectives:
– Document the importance of the role of religion in society and the state (public life) in the Arab world.
– Study and analyze the relationship between religion, the constitution, and legislation.
– Monitor the degree and state of religiosity among citizens in the Arab world.
– Measure the attitudes of Arab citizens towards various sects and religions.
 
– Project Outcomes:
Launch the results in Amman and Washington.
– Publish the project results in separate booklets.
 
Role of the Center for Strategic Studies:
– The project is conceived and managed by the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan.
 – The center oversees the entire project, from conception to final outcomes.
– The center prepares the background paper that organizes all project activities.
– The Center for Strategic Studies supervises the project’s implementation in the included countries, which involves field surveys and case studies for Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Egypt, and Jordan.
