The aim of this survey is to collect data on how the performance of the social protection system (social insurance and social assistance) in Jordan affects social cohesion. This will be achieved by gathering data on measurable social and economic indicators. The main research question is: How does the failure of social protection impact the likelihood of violence or social problems?

The survey focuses on Jordan and a representative sample of Jordanians and Syrian refugees. It examines the perceptions and attitudes of the local population in Jordan regarding the impact of weak and ineffective social protection systems on public tolerance of violence.

The study will be conducted on a sample of 1,600 Jordanians and 400 Syrian refugees.
