This book deals with diagnosing the factors related to individuals’ interest in vocational training and their demand for it among the workers and the unemployed, in preparation for the formulation of appropriate policies to raise the percentage of participants in training appropriate to the state of demand in the labor market. The book also deals with identifying the structures of the vocational training courses that participate in and desired among the workers, the unemployed, who are looking for work, and those who are not, and comparisons are made between these structures. The book also provides an attempt to anticipate the future demand for vocational training by diagnosing the desired training patterns.
The analysis in this book is based on field data collected from 6000 Jordanian families, and included 13795 individuals who represent an accurate random sample of Jordanian society.
