We are pleased to welcome applicants from Jordan and all over the world to our Internship Program.\u00a0At CSS, we work on a variety of topics surrounding Arab and Middle Eastern politics.\u00a0Successful applicants will be linked to a full-time researcher in CSS to assist that scholar in his or her research.<\/p>\n
Applicants are encouraged to apply to work in one of these areas:<\/p>\n
1. The politics of the Arab world and the Middle East.<\/p>\n
2. Public opinion poll in the Arab world and the Middle East.<\/p>\n
3. Gender and Gender Studies in the Arab World and the Middle East.<\/p>\n
4. Islamic political activity and Islamic organization.<\/p>\n
5. Jordanian politics.<\/p>\n
6. Social and labor movements in the Arab world and the Middle East<\/p>\n
responsibilities<\/p>\n
Eligible candidates are either current students or recent graduates.\u00a0Interns’ responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Work as a research assistant to a researcher in CSS.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Assist in preparing newsletters and reports.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Assisting in research projects at the center.<\/p>\n
\u2022 To help organize conferences in CSS.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Depending on the intern’s supervisor’s desire, CSS researchers may also act as advisors to the intern’s individual research projects.<\/p>\n
Internships are unpaid but there are a number of benefits on offer:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Trainees will be provided with office space and information technology facilities.<\/p>\n
\u2022 A certificate will be provided to all trainees upon successful completion of the training.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Trainees will be allowed to attend the center’s activities free of charge.<\/p>\n
Application and Logistics<\/p>\n
