This book deals with multiple topics such as: strategic factors for economic growth, from theory to practice, indebtedness, unemployment, agriculture, industry, state intervention, banking system policies, and Jordan’s economic relationship with the Arab Gulf states. He recorded the proceedings and deliberations of the conference held by the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan during the month of June 1993, entitled “The Jordanian Economy: Problems and Prospects,” and brought together a group of specialists from the public and private sectors, and academics from Jordan, the Arab world, and international universities.

This conference, which was held in Amman, is considered the first of its kind in terms of attendance momentum and representation, the quality of the papers presented in it, and the interventions addressed by the attendees and participants, which were put in a book to be accessible to researchers, scholars, decision makers in Jordan, and those interested in general.
