The Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan received the students of the third batch of the Professional Diploma in Refugee Studies and Forced Migration for the academic year 2019/2020.

The German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) has offered a number of scholarships covering university fees for a number of Jordanian and Syrian students who met the special conditions for scholarships which were announced in July 2019.

The diploma program lasts from September 2019 to May 2020 and the lectures are divided into two semesters of 24 credit hours; each semester is 12 hours, and the teaching is two days a week.

It is worth mentioning that the establishment of the professional diploma in refugee studies and forced migration was approved by a decision of the Board of Trustees of the University of Jordan in 2017 and resettled at the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan.

The Center expects this professional diploma to play a role in helping to understand the impact of refugee crises on Jordan in particular, and the Middle East region in general.
